The SwitchBot 3 for my curtains works perfectly. The setting up was a little struggle because mine are grommet curtains. But otherwise this decide is perfect and works well on my telescopic curtain rod.
I did not stick the magnetic tape as suggested but it still works for me, for now.
Totally in awe with the customer support who was constantly in touch with me for the issues I had.

the whole thing is good and brilliant idea, however I have some issue with the robot running on the rod and also the metallic plate as well as the magnet plate not really the best solution...my curtain robot still not too smooth sometimes... i hope can improve that part.... but still a good project...

Perfect for home automation but shipping is a mess
Took quite a bit of fiddling with the curtain 3 on my rod curtain. Initially it was not able to close to the calibrated closing point, resulting in the app reporting not fully closed.
After re-adjusting curtain heads' alignment with the magnet stripe, it is now able to close to calibrated position. I've linked the curtain with my SmartThings system so it can be open and closed with my home automation, which is fantastic!
The hub 2 came with the combo is also useful with it's temperature humidity sensing.
The only downside, is the shipping from SwitchBot. They chose DHL which lost track of my package during shipping, and took a whole week for them to deliver to me. SwitchBot Canada please choose another carrier, it's a nightmare dealing with DHL!
